yeah get it all up evenly. If you have a spare jack or when you get the axle stands in on the jack points uset the jack to lift the rear hub a little. This takes the force off the bolt and will make it easier to undo

@ Cebul: Interesting use of a jack on the upper control arm! I think I'll just do what the comments says and remove the inner bolts so that the top arm can be removed out of the way.
Cheers for the info guys.

That is an interesting use of the jack. BMCC, it could be worth doing that with the jack to help give you a bit of room to get the shock out once it's been un done. It is a bit tight

I found it a PITA nothing unfortunately just fell out for me. Everything had to be stood on pushed pulled etc :(

Yes this gave me just enough room to get the damper out. Although the nut on the bottom the drop link would just turn rather than undo eventually the nut that fixes onto the ARB flew off and the arm dropped a bit :(

On that matter how do you replace to drop link? Looks like you have to press a bush into the arm etc. Can you do this jacking just one side up or does the whole front end need to be in the air?

Cheers,

doing a droplink you either have both sides jacked up or both on the ground or you will end up loading one side with weight
