yeh i would just park it up, i did, a couple of things i should not have though - i left the hand brake on (oops, yep it seized on) then when i first started the lude up after around 4-5 months the revs were very eratic, this may have had something to do with the water level in the rad, this was real odd as it never looses water but i found it was empty. i didnt notice this till i drove it to free the brakes, the temp guage went into the red in a very short time, parked up and checked water level :o no water, where the hell did it go. first i thought omg head gasket :o , but since then its been fine. no water loss at all, very odd. your original list is fine, i should have done the same. you dont actually need to remove the wheels, just lift the car off the ground. i wouldnt bother with fueling it either, petrol has a shelf life and would need to be replaced after storage leaving you with the hassle of how to get the old fuel out.

good point about the fuel shelf life. i would drain the tank and fill it with kiln dried sand, this will absorb any moisture in the air :|

i dont know if you really need to drain it completely, if say there was 1 bar left on your guage it should be fine, just leave the cap on, there wont be any water in there as its full of fuel fumes, if water was a problem then it would always be a problem even when using it daily. yeh getting fuel out is a bugger as tramroad found out emptying bag-o-bum droppings. crist it took fooking ages, in the end we just left it in there  if you leave it with just 1 bar then when your ready to use it again, just fill it up and dilute the old fuel :D

i have left fuel in tanks before for a very long time, for some reason the fuel seems to separate into different componants and the smell changes, its actually quite a nice smell, reminds me of happyer times in my youth messing about with old bikes like the gt250 x7 or my old s1 triple  (he sits there, eyes mists over) oohhh memories, hope i dont go senile in old age
