Post by night_51 » Wed Sep 26, 2012 11:52 pm

Hi guys,

Just thinking of fitting led side light bulbs tomo, but was just thinking there are bulbs in the main headlights and the little sidelights. Was just wondering how do you get to the bulbs in the small lights? Btw mines a k reg 4th gen. Any help would be much appreicated.

Many thanks, :ugeek:

This is an absolute muffin to do on the 4th Gen. I means it seriously hard to do without denting or chipping the wings.
You can remove the bolts etc but the actual side light unit wont come out easily. Took me 3 hours to do both on my oth 4th Gens.
5th gen took me 30seconds.

You should have one of these tools in your Prelude toolbox.
It allows you to reach the bulb holder and turn it. :geek:

I changed them in situ by hand when I put my orange bulbs in

Never again... The passenger side is the worst - a human hand should not fit in that space, and I had lots of nice cuts and scrapes to prove it

Interesting tool there Pushki, is that a Honda tool?

Is it a UK car? If so, this is pretty easy. If it's a JDM one then yeah, it's a ballache!

It doesn't have any Honda markings but I'm sure it was supplied with the car when new. :geek:

Should have been as simple as: Undo the wee bolt at the top with a phillips screwdriver, pry it forwards to release the friction clip thingy.
