btw the auto engine is exactly the same as a manual engine there are no differences in auto cam specs just in the ecu the auto will rev to the same redline

I thought they would be the exact same just difference I'm the box.. What a douche haha...

Do I need to bother with a manual ecu? Or can I just slap on the auto and run the auto ecu and run with the codes?

You need to modify the auto ECU to work with the manual, it's really easy though, see pgmfi.org for the specifics.

EDIT, oops just noticed yours is a 5th, not sure if you can mod that or will have to swap for a manual ECU?

Yehh that's what I need to find out. If I get another ecu what I also need the key due to the immobiliser

How do you find out what ecu you have?

I'm in the process of buying all the parts as I'm after getting the engine into my kit car very soon but need to get the manual conversion sorted first lol

There is a code on the side of the ECU, about 8-10 digits long. It will look something like P13-000-000

you could always get an engine harness from a 4g and use a 4g manual ecu will help with the immobiliser issue as well

Could I not delete to immobiliser myself by installing an aftermarket one? Or get one of the ecu conversion kits??
