List of stuff needed for 4th gen lude..

Post by kris_aka_edu » Sat Oct 13, 2012 3:16 pm

Hi guys,

Just bought a 4th gen lude import 94. Picking it up on Tuesday. Needs a bit of work doing to it.

I need:

1) 4ws Locking Pin?

2) Drivers side clear front bumper reflector. Don't mind buying a pair but nothing on ebay?

3) Steering wheel with hub, not standard something similar to a Momo, or drift style wheel.

4) Top end speed chip for import ECU.

5) Anything else you can reccommend I might need for a pretty much standard car, its has a twin exhaust from a Porsche. It's the dark grey/black.

Any ideas or updates if anyones selling any stuff give me a shout please :)

That all seems very confusing to me mate. Theres too much writing for me. I'm more like a child that just likes the pictures! Lol.

Are the chips for Import ECU's or are they just the UK models?

Hook me up dude. I've been told you can just put a pin in it and then take out the fuse or something so then it locks it all to just front 2 wheel steer?!

I'm absolutely useless at all this, and just pay some one to do it and try and learn as I go a long. My last lude 4th gen had everything done to it, so I didn't have to do anything to it :D

Rob does chips for Jap and uk ludes man, if yours is an import you need one of the spoon copies for a P13 ECU.

If you have airbags, you need to add a resistor to convince the system the airbag is fitted when you add an aftermarket wheel. Otherwise you'll get an error light and fail your MOT.

The 4WS locking pin is only for use when the geometry is being set on the rear axle. It can't be used the way you're suggesting. If you want the 4WS removed, you need to swap in the rear subframe from a car that didn't have 4WS. Any other method is downright dangerous.

Ok mate cheers,

So if the 4ws fails, my mate said the back end goes all wonky and you have to turn it off and back on. Surely by just locking it and then taking the fuse out it locks it all up?!

Mines an import would you be able to find out how much a chip would be for me for top end and how would I be able to go about fitting it?

And this resistor for the air bags etc, where can I also find this?
