Power steering and alternator belts

Post by BMCC » Mon Oct 22, 2012 8:19 am

I believe the power steering belt is slipping (and squeeking a fair bit) so I'll be replacing both these belts. Honda want nearly £32 for the PS belt. Are there any other options? If so what and where?

Cheers,

Any motor factors will be able to get you belts, even EuroCarParts. I think its about £12 for Gates belts.

I looked at euro carparts they only show one belt (a conti tech,6pk 1043) but they don't say which belt it is. Are the PS and Alt belt the same size?

No they are different. I dont know the OEM belt sizes, only the belt sizes for underdrive pulleys. One belt is 6pk and the other is 4pk. I know of one person who got new OEM belts recently @nitin_s1.
