if they're blocked, it'll be the drain areas. These are behind the rear bumper at the sides.

The little drain nozzles are fine, as I found these last year when I had the bumper off, sounds like its more involved than I hoped :(

Those drain nozzles are crap, they are supposed to stop dirt ingress while letting water out. Sadly, any dirt travelling down the pipe jams here, and they block. Nippy.

The clips under the black strip at the bottom of the window, how good are the wee gaskets on the clips?

Well I think they're OK, as I checked last year.

Think I'll have them all off again and check, then reseat with silicone to ensure good seal. They seem the only logical place for water ingress for where I'm finding the water.

I had this problem earlier this year and it did my head right in tracking it down..
Every time it rained, I had a swimming pool in the boot!

After ALOT of investigation, it turns out there are little 'gaskets' on the clips holding the weather strip on - they had all rotted and that was what was letting in the water. (Exactly as you describe btw!)

All I did was to take them all off - carefully (they break very easily!), clean them up and smear some clear silicon sealant on each one before refitting.

All was good in the world after that!
Hope it helps! :D
