ATR purchase (maybe)

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

I think so. Especially on a track where it's easier to keep in vtec.
nitin_s1 wrote:Plus you are comparing your H22A5 with heavy 4ws to your much newer ATR. Not fair sailor.
Fair point, Nitin. Except for the size of the difference, which can be as much as 10%.
(PS: the ATR is not 'much' newer: 12 years old versus 14 ...)

if you had a lude with the same engine as the atr and both cars had the same suspension you might find the difference harder to state.

You could say that about almost any car though? Like maybe comparing a Cavalier to Calibra and so on..

Ultimately the Lude was marketed as a luxury sports coupe and the Accord as road going family saloon that can be used on the track at the weekend. The Accord has no sound proofing, Recaros, 40% stiffer chassis, twin pots etc that the normal Accord didn't get.

They are two very different cars. I loved my Lude, I loved the 2.2 Vtec, also loved my 1994 Accord 2.0 for very different reasons and it was a 4 door family saloon. I needed to go down to one car, the ATR was the perfect solution, it had the 2.2 Vtec and fun driveability of the Lude, but also the practicality of a 4 door family saloon.

That's true, but not what was being discussed!
