S2000 Steering wheel & Airbag for 5th Gens

Post by RattyMcClelland » Sun Oct 28, 2012 3:01 pm

This is off a facelift AP2 S2000 with only 26000miles on it. Mint condition. Airbag in tact.

DIRECT FIT onto non 4ws and non ATTS Preludes. A notch needs to be filed if you have ATTS/4WS. body lemonade easy to do. Iv done it.
S2000 wheel is smaller and chunkier than the Preludes wheel and feels great.

Very tempting, but i'm not sure how well the cruise controls would fit onto that wheel.

Yer, there's a write up somewhere regarding cruise control. Google I'm sure.

I have had a look into fitting of cruise control. It appears that there are a couple of options. Could either buy S2000 switchgear, and then modify the connection plug, or mount the lude switches onto the S2000 wheel. prelude_h22 did this and made a really good job of it.
It seems that most AP2 air bags are 2 stage - and so have 4 wires whereas ludes, AP1 and very early AP2 only have 2 wires.
Ratty - can you please confirm that your's has only 2 wires? Wont go as far as putting dibs on it, but will look into it a bit further.
