That's good it got sorted. But don't judge a whole group based on one person, I'm in America and have bought several thing from people one this site. So hopefully I can be the exception

The one and only time I got stung was over an exhaust I bought from USA. They sent me the wrong one, but insisted that if I fitted it would be ok. After doing that, and it defo did not fit right, I was assured a refund if I sent it back (at my expense). I did and proved it got delivered, but I got no refund, and when opening a dispute it dragged on over the 45 day period, so paypal would not do a refund.

sorry to hear of your troubles danni - this kind of thing sucks big time- i always get a signed for delivery even when shipping to the usa but i got stung by a forum member in the uk a couple of years back so like Neo says i dont think it has anything to do with overseas transactions as there are dodgy scammers in every country.
I think it would be helpful if there was a section on the forum where we can name and shame - let me start the ball rolling:

i did catch him trying to buy a car off someone at a later date and of course i posted up he was dodgy feker which did give me some satisfaction

Yeah Name and Shame and maybe save some other poor sod getting shafted.
