4g EGR solenoid vac plumbing HELP!

Post by chrismc » Tue Nov 06, 2012 8:50 am

I have just received my replacement EGR solenoid through the post but have realised I'm not sure how its meant to be plumbed in :( (old one removed/discarded)

Can anybody help with telling me what line goes where please?

I received it as below:

I 'think' the longer hose from the green bit goes to EGR valve & another vac hose runs from inlet plenum to the open connection on the solenoid (left)

Is that right!?

Any pointers appreciated!

Ok man, the pipe currently attached at both ends needs moved. The connector on the green box is fine, but it should be on the lower connector on the black canister, not the top one. The top one then feeds to the EGR (right along where the injectors sit), and the remaining hose connects to the bottom connector on the right hand side of the intake manifold (from the front).
