Super High Temp Urea Grease Discontinued

Post by RattyMcClelland » Thu Nov 08, 2012 1:34 pm

So i rang around 5 honda stealers today to get some Super high temp penistube grease and its discontinued.
I asked what its replaced with and no one gave me a straight answer.
I need it for the clutch slave.
Iv got some copper grease instead.
I can buy urea online but i need it NOW bitches.

Whats your girls thoughts?

I'd think CV grease should do it? It'll be high temp and safe for rubber boots etc.

For between the cluch slave piston and the clutch release fork? I used copper grease, IIRC the dealer said that's what they use when I tried to order it too.

So from what I gather its just a plastic safe high temp grease?
Surely silicone grease or high temp CV grease would do the trick in it's place?

Yeah I think it's OK for that bit. Might not be such a good idea on the other end of the fork between the clutch release bearing tho.

AFIK Honda only recommend a specialist grease because they didn't want it melting onto the clutch plate if for some reason the clutch got ridiculously hot.
