yeh you could do (dont blow your motor though
), what box are you using? what tyre size? vtec crossover and max shift point?

cant remember now, but i think maybe vtecmecs gearbox is the one rob had mentioned on puk a few days ago, not been back on there to check, but if so then the final drive is different than in the ratios list, will do it again with the other fd and see what difference it makes
ran it with the 4.062 fd, not much better, still drops out of vtec
unless the clutch is slipping maybe
(or wheel spin
)

ok can some one check at what speed your doing when vtec kick in, in 2nd, which box you have and tyre size.
i have already done this with my auto and it is as per my list of ratios, i loose vtec in all gears momentarly after shifting, but i havnt driven the manual. jayjay does yours stay in vtec between shifs or does it drop out of vtec?

i
i think wheel size will matter as the speed sensor is progammed for a specific wheel size so if bigger/smaller rolling radius is being read it will feck it right up.Edd wrote:Oh, wheel/tyre size wont make any difference as the vehicle speed sensor is on the gearbox
if it aint broke don't fix it https://www.facebook.com/pages/tram-roa ... 8502699270
Had a go on the way to work this morning. 2nd tops out at around 68-70 mph, difficult to see without hitting the fuel cut or crashing!
On shift from 1st at 7800 rpm to 2nd it drops down to 5500 rpm.
