Last Wednesday my car had an unfortunate incident with someone else's crappy hub cap on the M23. I ran over it and didn't think much of it. On Saturday I noticed that the paint on my rear skirt is damaged. It seems that my rear near-side wheel flipped up the stray hub cap which clouted my rear lip, cracking the paint. And guess what? Yes, silver paint is visible, even though I've specially asked TWO body shops to completely strip the lip down to the bare plastic before painting it.
Anyway, the JDM / USDM front lip is now stripped and I'll be taking it to a body shop on Wednesday afternoon.

A bit on the late side but I think 12Tune only just got these back in. From the small pic I think this is a replica of the JDM OEM lip:

Good point.newkid wrote:You sure its silver paint and not silver primer your seeing? Some reds need silver primer to come out properly.
I use a lot of spectral grey after primer to help the colour develop.
For example on milano red I use spectral grey 1 which is a very pale grey so nothing peeks though the red as red is low hide colour.
