5th gen rear lights
since the public broadcast on here about how much of a con artist i apparently am,
I refunded Andy the full amount and said he can keep the lights.
well no public thank you was mentioned but a private email
"Thanks for the refund.
As you do not want the lights returned, I have re-paid half of the money into your paypal.
I was never out to be unfair to you, so feel that I should at least pay a token value for the damaged lights, and also cover your postage costs.
This way both of our consciences are clear and the matter can be closed."
ok if he wants to give me half back then thats cool. so i asked if he had sent it since i didnt see it in my paypal for a few days now..
"I will send the other half when you replace the damaged light, with one that isnt broken."
i wouldnt normally do this, I have been skanked before by a couple of members on the other side, ie not received something , and left it as a bad taste in my mouth and not to buy from that member again, but since this was brought to the limelight i feel its only fair i show how sad Andy is.
if your going to cry to everyone about how wrong someone is @andypont, make sure your 100% right yourself.

Ziyaan since your original post had so little information in it regarding the condition of the item and no pics of the item once it had been removed from the car I dont think you have any right to complain. No photo's = no evidence that they were complete before postage.
Thread now locked. If anyone has anything further to say on the matter speak to a mod/admin.

Right, where do I start with this clown??!!
In his PM ziyaan said "ok then mate thats very good of you cheers..
when will you send the other half back"
Now I havent taken an English language lesson for 30 years, but dont think things have changed too much? All through my life if somebody was given a 50% and then asked "when will you send the other half back" it means they want the OTHER 50% meaning all of it.
If that is no longer the case, then somebody please let me know becuase it appears that in the world of ziyaan it actually means I have not recieved the money that you promised me, when will you be sending it. At no point did he ask that question!
When I made the initial payment on Oct 2nd it was to a paypal account in the name of Oliver Petereit. The refund also came back in the same account name. However when I sent half the money back to ziyaan / Al Asad / Oliver Petereit I picked the email address that was saved in my paypal for OP and never considered checking it was still current until he had this rant this morning. Hence I still had funds sitting unclaimed in my paypal as whoever owns that paypal account has changed the email address attached to it.
When he PM'd me today and asked when will I "send the other half back" I genuinely thought he was making a joke about the recently resolved issue and so I did reply with
"I will send the other half when you replace the damaged light, with one that isnt broken."
Ziyaan's response was "" which convinced me we were both looking at this in a lighthearted manner.
Then 75 minutes later he posts the thread which I find insulting, very annoying and feel he his casting aspersions on my character. Lets hope I never bump into him at a meet.
I have enjoyed my time on LG and have had issues with nobody else whether buying items or from the general banter, but if I have to tolerate posts of this kind then my stay here may well be much shorther than I had anticipated.
I admit I'm rarely 100% right, but never through the lack of trying. I made errors with this transcation in fact. Firtsly I didnt ask to see better photos to ensure quality of the lights before despatch, then I failed to ensure that OP's paypal address was the same as it was 5 weeks ago (ziyaan could have mentioned this) and finally I made the mistake of trusting the seller and then giving him the benefit of the doubt.
I havent sold anything to anybody on LG, but when selling on ebay I always describe the item as accurately as possible, make sure its well packed before despatch and above all ensure that the buyer knows what they are getting, and when to expect it, by good communications. I have been on ebay for 11years and have 100% positive feedback. I wonder if Mr As Asad can say that? I have gone though life with the idea of treating others as I like to be treated. It appears that not everybody on this forum shares that mentality.
Thanks to merlin for unlocking this thread so that I could have my say, as I felt I needed to defend my character and prevent any reputation I might have from becoming a negative one.

Was not public enough?? Shame he didnt tell me what national newspaper he, his family and friends read - maybe he wanted to see it in there. I thought it was usual to PM paypal addresses rather than post them in threads yet he seems to take exception to this??!andypont wrote:[Thanks. I have PM'd you my paypal address.
If you dont want the lights snding back then just make a partial refund to reflect the damage.
