When i had it fitted the whole filler tube from the filler cap just disintergrated

See if there's anywhere that will reskin fuel tanks.
I paid £80 for a reskin and it has a life times guarantee, I got it done in Hartlepool......bit of a treck for you

From what I saw, it looks like the tank is held on by two metal straps which are held on by four bolts.
The difficulty in posting the tank is making it safe.
