right, the missis reminded me that her birthday is on the 23rd so best not have a bunch of hairy japmetal lovers camped on the lawn eh?
this means the weekend of the 14th and 15th is looking favorite.
If this looks good for everyone then i will pen it into the diary. otherwise we can go for the 28/29th.
I have been to the 'airfield' and found it has been converted into an industrial yard
so no fun there. i will get an idea of what else is about and update as far as photo op's and driving op's are concerned.
there is a pub darn close with a massive quiet carpark that might be nice to stop at. i'll have a word.
few questions i could do with concensus on please?
How long a drive out do people want? Im thinking 50-60miles? country roads, a couple of picture stops and a pub stop should see us busy for three or four hours.
what time do people want to drive? early and there is less traffic but i was thinking of starting out no later than 1pm, 12 if poss.. tractors and caravans being what they are you can guarentee we wont see the speed limit often no matter what time we set off. thoughts?
would people be prepared to put in some cash if i could actually find somewhere to do a top speed run and they wanted payment? this is hard to ask and answer due to the open ended nature of it at the moment but just an opinion would be good. this is obviously dependent on finding someone with a mile of private tarmac and silly enough to let us on it
How would people want to work food?
i have a big bbq and for donations to the kitty would be happy to provide all sundries (bread, salad, potato salad, sauces etc) while you all bring some decent meat and beers etc.
or each bring your own specifics. any economy burger bringing fool will be hooted at mind you
