Out from under my covers

Post by David.slough » Fri Feb 03, 2012 10:00 am

Hello

Another David here - sorry I know we get everywhere especially when it comes to Ludes!!.

Anyway I currently dont have a Lude but I did back in the day's of Honda Revolutions - a very pretty UKDM 4th in Phantom Grey - and after reading some of the posts here and on PreludeUK (before the spam migration) I am getting back the love and interest in these beautiful and much under rated cars.

Actually I was thinking of getting a new weekend/hobby car when I saw a very nice 4th Gen pass me which is what sparked my interest again. With prices so cheap for the 4th's im thinking when the right one comes along i might be getting my vtec hit once more and lavishing a bit of the cash i was going to spend on an Evo or Scooby to bring her/him (wont decided on gender or name of a car until I get it  ) back to the state it should be kept in.

Anyway enough of my ramberlings just thought I should come out from under my covers and participate a bit more.

Oh and keep up the excellent work of posting here you are all giving me inspiration and ideas for my next project (my shopping list is now over two pages long haha)

Thanks for reading
David

Welcome bud :) I think you'd ne hard pressed to find a 4th gen for cheap now that won't require a LOT spent on removing the rust! :(

Thanks Jay I hear you and its the same on alot of 15-20 year old cars, as long as its the normal rust on the sills, rear arches and sunroof then I plan to fix those up properly anyway by new rear quarters and welding.

Also when I say cheap I dont mean really cheap my budget for the car is about the £1-2k mark and doing it up the way i want it inially would be another £2-3k, I know I could and probably will spend alot more ;)

Welcome aboard man! I see you prefer the classier generation of Lude

Ah, for that money you should be able to get a tidy one :) I've lost track of the amount I've spent on mine

Good luck in the search, there are good ones still out there.....

Oh and what was your username on Revs? I was on there from about 2002 onwards. Damn I feel old...

It was Davep on Rev's. I was around at about the same time as you but my age is creeping up on my memory and other than Richy - who was always a lude god even before Autoworks - I cant remember much about my time floating in the forum.

I do believe I remember you Sir.

Yeah at the time it seemed like 99% of all 4th gen owners were either Dave or Ben
