To Type R or not to Type R?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

I like most VTEC Civic's, but what I like most about them is that our old-ass 'Ludes are still quicker ..and better looking ;)

I had a 1993 EG Civic ESi 1.6 SOHC VTEC, only 125bhp, but I changed the air filter and put on a straight thru exhaust and even that would out-drag an EP3 - uphill!

If you are set on an EP3 I'd go for a JDM one as they come with red Recaro's, an LSD gearbox and more power! Plus they come in white ..and white Honda's rule the world :)

If you want a true type r, what about a dc2 Integra?

Fantastic car from the factory. LSD as standard, revvy B18C & still the best FWD chassis out there.

Much more kudos & special feel to the drive than either an ATR or EP3 civic

Go watch type r legends.....

(I have owned &/or driven many miles in all of the above)

Seem like pretty good cars from what I know. The JDM spec (made in UK anyway from what I understand, just shipped around the world...) come with LSD where as the UK spec don't from what I gather. The K series is a good engine, but they are not as fast as the EP3 boys make them out to be, but they are nippy. I also understand they have issues with the steering racks, and even more so when lowered! About as far as my knowledge goes on CTR's!
And to join in, my 'lude had the slight edge on a EP3 with large tb, skunk intake manifold, 4-2-1 decated and mapped and some other bits.

If you like them though, go and get one ;)
