...but then have you ever driven a fresh EK9 (or DC2)? Different league as a drivers car compared to an EP3

Driven a few sorted dc2s and a b18 ek, all handled really nicely but they were all really lacking torque compared to a lude, a dc2 with a h22 would be nice I imagine!

I love the way a few of you are missing the bits where I said IMO etc. It's just that, my opinion.
Yes, driven the cars mentioned and I stand by what i said. No one, least of all me was trying to say any one car was better than the other, what I said was try them and see if they suit.
I was talking about the EK9 as I was responding about them being more highly sought after/expensive, I should have quoted so that's my bad.
I can't be made to want an EK9 I'm afraid, whatever anyone says - I just don't want one and IN MY OPINION it's not worth 10k TO ME. That said, I bought a '68 Mustang for 10k because it WAS worth it to me and later sold it for 15k.
The fact is, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one, and what the OP should do is what was said at the beginning, try them and see if it suits HIM.

Ofcourse the DC2 will rings around the lude.. It's meant to be a track car for road

where as a Prelude is a just a sports coupe.

I still wouldn't buy a DC2 over my Prelude, IMO...

Ep3s are popular, so the assumption is they must be good!

Yup!

They are good cars.

I actually found the b16 engine a bit lifeless off VTEC too, but a screamer on it.

The B18 was much much better. In a slippery DC2 weighing 1100kgs it never felt flat. Without using VTEC mine still made 125 @ 5900, BUT then on to 196 @ 8200, holding 188 at the 8700 cutout (breathing mods & eCtune remapped) They really are about the top end fizz!

I wouldn't have an ek9 either Benny. No dramas!

The Ek9s outhandle the DC2s on the track but the B18 rules the B16 according to the best motoring videos. I wouldnt say the DC2 runs rings around the Prelude. Stock to stock the DC2 will handle better of course.

Type R legends in worth a watch.

Hey no worries, and reading my post back I honestly wasn't having a go, or at anyone in particular, just thought peeps were missing my point a bit!

Just to add to this and the many other posts in this thread...

I just went on a 20mile round trip in sleepy ol' Norfolk, saw 3 EP3s, no Preludes... and it was pretty much just one road.
Few weeks ago I went on a 300mile round trip to Gatwick, numerous EP3s, one DC5, no Preludes.

It's nice to have something a little uncommon IMO.
