Why don't we switch the domain of PUK across... and copy parts of the database that we want to keep onto this forum?

I'm sure the domain is just a case of changing the Naming Servers to point else where. Easily done. 5 minute job just can take 24hours to activate.

The Admin there (the single admin) is loathe to transfer it across. He did start PUK so I can understand that. None of us here have access to anything Admin related on PUK.

its the 'posting twice' that will affect it most i think.

Its like everyone goes to one pub but that pub starts to let in riffraff so you move to another pub. ok it takes a while to get used to but when you go into the old pub it just doesn't feel like home anymore.

I don't see how two forums could work, it's already a pain. There are a couple of things that I don't like about lg though, 1, the constant thread derailment and 2, the poor iPhone support, if I could just get the desktop site on it lol.

And it's just my luck to be made a moderator on Puk when it could be at its end

I stopped being active in puk a long time for various reasons the main one was forum up bum droppings it pissed me right off and when I swapped to a new explorer I got hit with a virus as I hadn't put a pop up blacker on I still have a read every now and then though .

Ny priority went to lb as it was a stable host and a clean no pop server yes im admin on their now but that's not why I left puk

LG is the future of puk and its about time everyone jumped to a stable host

Mat alough absent has got it right to some degree as the only admin he has complete control witch stops any "power" struggles we all remember hyper rev

Unfortunately it appears mat won't jump ship onto a secure server so its best to take as much info as you can over here and slowly build your own data base

Prelude are simple things and most is easily covered by what people remember in their heads I learnt a great deal about ludes quickly but my knowledge is is now worse than a lot of other members that have been around as long or longer than me .

Database will grow its self over time as generally the same 5 or 6 help topics are repeated over and over again

on another note, the bots didnt really bother me, but i like change and chaos. i found some of the random bot posts in someones thread quite funny sometimes

personaly i wont be going back to puk as i never look back, any one read a sf book tittled the dead past

I agree that checking in to 2 Forums is pretty pointless, so from a personal point of view i have stopped posting on PUK. Nothing to stop me from popping over now & again and as has already been said, the info is all there to be accessed if required.

It is my feeling that LG stepped in when PUK was looking like it was dead in the water & offered to solve all the gripes we always had on Forum-up, so to relegate it back to a side Forum now that PUK has been fixed (for how long?) would be a shame.

I was extremely loyal to PUK but at a vital moment i think it failed, so now my loyalties lie with LG.

i think you guys have done a great job with this site
