Official - EURO Prelude Meet 2013 - 28-30 June

Post by vlad » Fri Jan 11, 2013 12:01 am

I would like to invite everyone to the very first European Prelude Meet!

DATE

28-29-30 JUNE 2013

PLACE

We are all meeting in the heart of Europe, in Nurburg, a German city that almost every fan of motorsport should know for its magnificent, historical track - The Nurburgring.

The place has a fantastic location because most of European Prelude fans won't have more than 1k kilometres one way, so this is just "possible" for most of us to travel that far.

ACCOMODATION

There are LOADS of hotels and "pensions" in the Nurburg city where thousands of people can stay, and this is another reason of picking up that location for this event.

Each club/forum organises and books hotels for its own users - this simplifies everything as we dont have to take care of everyone, and your money and bookings are secure when you all do it where you want, and how you want to do it. The sharp date will be fixed in the first half of March, so feel free to book your rooms for one specific weekend then !

MAIN EVENT

The main event, THE MEETING, will take place on Saturday, on one of Nurburg's parkings - there are thousands of parking spaces there so dont worry.

We'll go to Nurburgring 3 weeks before the event and we'll give an official info on which parking it will be - you'll get a map posted everywhere (facebook, forums, website)

WHO WILL PARTICIPATE

Our goal is to get all European Prelude Clubs engaged.
We're posting this almost on every forum that we can, facebook profiles, websites - the biggest Prelude clubs in Europe like those from UK, France, Germany, NEtherlands, Poland, Czech, Slovakia and others have already confirmed their attendance. Do not hesitate to post it on every single forum when you see it's not there !

We'll post infos and logos of participating clubs on website and facebook as well so you'll be informed on everything!

I presume it will take place on a public open day. Or how many cars do we have to get for it to be a club-only session?

This is tempting. I've always wanted to do this. 200 miles from zeebrugge and I can get the ferry from hull for £250

Very tempting, I've missed the nurburgring the last 2 years, I'm sure some overtime will cover it :-)

Thanks for your help, Paul. Will do my best to organize at least one car (mine) from the Bulgarian fanclub.
Quite possibly my wife will be totally against this (~1800+ km from Sofia to Nurburg) but this is not something I'd want to miss out :)
