Another company now in administration

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

IMO these comanies can only blame themselves for their downfall. For example HMV, in the BBC news article said that christmas sales were disappointing, particularly in technology products. My question is why did HMV branch out in to supplying high price technology products? Having to pay to stock these items and tying up cash? It's not like HMV is most peoples first thought in buying a laptop or tablet. HMV is bee in decline for years yet they tried to overstretch themselves and in the end paid the price. HMV even admitted themselves "it failed to embrace the shift towards online sales and digital downloads."

I always wondered how long it would be before Jessops went under.

The mrs gets all her film developed there for £5 a roll, they would process negatives, print and supply her a new roll of film for that price... a roll of film is usually around a fiver so how they made a profit on that side of things I don't know...

As for the others... the likes of Amazon has surely spelled the end for most of these companies. I wouldn't be surprised if more big names went under before long.

As for MPs voting in a wage increase for themselves... I just don't get how they can get away with doing that at all

I prefer having a DVD on the shelf in my house, then streaming them live off netflix. I use netflix for when i am bored and want to watch something old that i dont have, or if im out. Ive not shopped in an HMV store in... well years. At least 9 years!

Mercutio, i must not of typed that very well. I prefer to have the DVD then to have some "digital copy" of it. I have over 1000 dvds and over 400 blu rays at present. Slowly replacing DVD's to blurays 8-)
