Usually the Fuel pumps can be swapped between models, just need to buy the right filter pickup part. Look at Walbro's part numbering and you'll see.

Fair dos on the Red Horse stuff. I'll be honest, I've not heard of them. So if you are a distributor, does that mean you run a garage of some sort? :)

Thats great, i'll look this up. Hopefully it'll be nice n simple to swap the pump over!

Not a garage but an online web store, the swap is taking place at my dads garage as I don't have any doors/shutters big enough to get the car in!

Are you running an oil catch tank? I am considering instaling one at some point as the inside of the charger and inlet manifold was covered in a light film of oil, it can't be good if it starts covering the injectors also.. I've got an idea for a nice CNC machined catch tank....

Cool, well still handy having your dad's garage! Looks ideal from the pics. What web store? We have a section for members business on here, get a little post up and sell it!

As for a catch tank, not so much, mine is (will be) an open breather tank setup. The general view is to free up horsepower and increase engine life be removing harmful crank case pressure (and oil/fuel vapors you mention) that builds up in high horsepower NA, turbo, supercharged and nitrous setups. Pretty much what most of the nice Honda builds are doing, I'm sure you've seen.

Is that the kind of thing you mean too?

I've got my AN10 ports and my rocker cover is finally done ready to have them welded to the front and some baffle added. Then it's some more black AN10 braided lines to the passenger side recess to a custom tank with some breather filters on. Just not had the tank made up yet. Got a company in mind I spoke to at Japshow last year. A really helpful thing, but more work, is to tap an oil line from the bottom of the tank to the engine sump to act as a return line, so you're not losing the oil all the time. All my other PCV, EGR, etc systems have been removed from my setup, so no nasty oil, vapours and gases for me thank you!

Not sure on all the K20's engine setup in terms of these systems, but if you can eliminate them, do it.

Updates:

So today I washed the car and brought it down the garage to get the engine removed. I was a bit slow getting into it as it was absolutely freezing but as I warmed up bits started coming apart quicker!

I brought my scales with me and weighed a few things as we were taking them off.

Bonnet: 19.98kg
Aircon Rad: 2.25kg
Battery 15.5kg

There are certainly some good weight savings to be had here with a lightweight battery and a carbon bonnet.

Tomorrow will be a bit more relaxed, i'm going to be cleaning the bay, various parts and working out where everything is going to go!
