Having tried and failed i can tell you that yes, braces with some kind of threaded attachment are interchangable as there is some adjustment to be had.
anything that is solid, ie three parts, mounts and brace, with two bolts will only fit on the gen designed for it. I learned this with a spoon 4th gen solid bar. it was 10mm too short no matter what you do.
the 5th gen's track is wider than the 4th's. take this from someone who lost money on this question.

no dbo, yours was a 5th gen bar not modded. but it was a piece of jobby that did not fit correctly as it was 2 long and that is why it snapped on one of the support legs. thats why i sold you the spoon sports one from my old lude darryl.Dbo wrote:I had a GAB front upper brace that was taken off a 5th that fitted straight on my 4th?
