How come you get so cheap insurance quotes??? When I was checking the insurance prices the cheapest I could find was around 3000. I'm 22, live in Wolverhampton, 4 NCB.

Well out of curiousity I've been getting quotes this morning, fair enough they're from comparison sites but in relation to each-other they certainly don't make sense.

Living in Norwich city centre parked on a public road at night is cheaper than at my dad's, garaged, out in the middle of nowhere.

Then I thought I would add the gf to my policy to see what difference it would make, expecting a ridiculous increase... when she first moved here quotes for her on a 1.3 Suzuki were in excess of £7k, so needless to say she's never driven in the UK.

So, having a 21 year old without a UK licence (but an EU one), only been driving 3 years, only lived here 2 and a bit years... dropped my cheapest quote by ~£150. :|

To clarify again because I didn't quite get it, adding a relatively inexperiencesd driver and with my car parked on a public city street overnight was cheaper than just me and garaged in the countryside. What?

Come on Donald, that's obviously! A gang of cows are more of a threat than some of the scum you get in a city :!: didn't you know that

Mine was £500 this year mods declared, 27 & 6yrs NCB with admiral. They tried it on with my renewal tho, wanted to put it up by £250 because I didn't get any speeding tickets or cause any accidents.

It's so frustrating that modern businesses, sorry con artists, try every underhanded trick they can think of to con you of out of money. Excuse the language but it's drokking disgusting!

The bank did it to me recently. Halifax, changed the overdraft charges on the sly. It was £1 per day over £2,500 in your overdraft and then they changed it to £2 per day over £2,000. Got an extra £30 out of me by the time I'd realised what they'd done, happened to a few of the guys I work with too

Banks are a whole other rant.
Paid a decent chunk off my credit card this month, then the day before it was due (so before they remove the interest from the amount paid off the balance blah blah blah) they decided they were going to slap on the charges from last month, meaning that although I'd made more than the payment they told me I needed to make, I was back over my credit limit and incurring more charges  would've been better off not paying it.
