Because I took Biochemistry & Microbiology and Chemistry for Biological and Medical Science as modules this year, these plus the other modules I chose equate to an A2 in chemistry and biology.

Just for pass criteria, never mind merit or distinction, I have to understand and explain aerobic and anaerobic respiration (so glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, tricarboxylic acid cycle, ETC, oxidative phosphorylation and fermentation) with all the correct ATP values, enzymes, coenzymes and acids blah blah blah blah. :geek:

The jobby will hit the fan when this gets marked though. Usually I end up being IVed or work passed on to the course leader because I disagree too much when I get referred. The trouble I'm having with this is the NADH to ATP values are theoretical for a start, differ between prokaryotes and eukaryotes and are an estimation based on average cell activity. Some cells output more than others, it's not a perfect system... all of this I have to explain to my lecturer who freely admitted at the start of the year she's not qualified to teach this subject (and college knows this too... they just couldn't get someone to teach it and she was the nearest to it academically). So she's completely rigid to the marking criteria (which coincidentally we have a simplified version of which I always refer to as opposed to what is in the instructional brief) and nowhere in there does it mention if this is for pro- or eu-, but all the handouts we've been given contain mixed source diagrams which relate to one or the other... meaning final values are off depending on what you're looking at. I can't be wrong but I can't be right... but I will be wrong.

Last year I was accused of making up a word and copying supporting info from the internet (which they also admitted they couldn't find where I'd copied it from, but I must have because no year 1 had produced work at that level before) :evil: Several paragraphs explaining the Greek language and the difference between Greek and Latin word roots, irregular part participle rules, morphemes, suffixes, prefixes and how as a college lecturer they should understand the language they teach in before they pick holes in work before the content is fully looked at meant I was a cocky muffin and none of them like me much. :lol:

Is it all coming back to you now Alex? :lol:

Rant over btw :oops:

The pony tail gets tucked in usually when I ride bikes, otherwise it flaps around behind me like a streamer and I can't actually look over my shoulder to see traffic as it blocks my view :lol:

Though if the weather is good, I might well be riding lidless, so then the beard will kill any aerodynamics I might have :lol:

280bhp/ton though, so the trike has the lude beat on spec, so it will all come down to power delivery and size of balls :lol:
Well at best I only have 197bhp and my car has AC, sunroof, 4WS, other heavy stuff... I'm sure the book weight is 1320kg, I weigh around 55kg... so that's what, 143bhp/ton? :lol:

Rushing back! You sound like the clever muffin of your year my boy, fair play to you! I had no chance of that, we had a dozen Chinese students in my year all paying £10k per year each to be there with my course being 95% maths & theory. This comes to mind;

Fair play to them, they were seriously committed to the course. I just wanted to get drunk and shag around!

I had all that grief with my maths teacher at A-level, had a full on argument about a solution to a problem she was talking the class through. I told her the answer instantly, couldn't explain the theory just knew what the answer was and she didn't believe me. It went on for a good few minutes, until she worked it out and I was right :lol: Turned out I was dyslexic. She was such a bad teacher, spent the first 3 months of AS level making paper planes.

55kgs? I was about 10 the last time I weight that little :lol:

I sat next to a Chinese lad in A level maths, he was super smart... did me no good :lol: took me two goes to pass the first exam.

Built like a racing snake ;) I'm like 5'7" at best :lol:

I've been experimenting with heel-toe, the pedal gap is wider than my foot so it's quite hard :(

you need to get a set of the mugen pedal covers my man. they will sort that gap out nicely. otherwise get the blowtorch on the leavers and bend them in a bit.;-)

Or get bigger feet, but I think that 3L's options are a bit more practical really :lol:
