To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

Rear fog light in the rear cluster

Post by judderod » Mon Jan 28, 2013 7:47 pm

Has anyone done this mod?

Just seen it was common on classic mini's where they's swap and rewire the offside reversing light with a bright red bulb. Apparently it's legal and MOT friendly.

Mine was done by the importer.
It's definitely MOT friendly. You do need an illuminating switch though.

I put a really bright red LED bulb in mine. :geek:

Nice one cheers guys.

I'll need to replace my rear bumper when I get the arch done, and I've never liked the UKDM fog light. So I'll keep my eye out for a JDM rear bumper when the time comes and relocate the fog light to the cluster :)

Thanks for the tip as well Pushki, a red LED bulb sounds like the best bet

That's exactly what I did on my UKDM. Plus it means you already have the switch \o/
