Right I have had an idea growing for a while and think I may have found a way to do it.
I want to spend some time sorting out my interior into something different this year. The seats (or some S2000/EP3 seats if I can get them) are up for a retrim. I have a mate who's Dad was a Rolls trimmer and is a bit good at that sort of thing. So that side of it is sorted.
Beyond that I like this. A Lot

I have acquired some 3M paint. Now normally I am completely against painting interiors as it usually involves a can of halford's special, someone who can't paint and lots of runnage and then peelage later on.
The paint on a spare door insert vinyl (It is slightly brighter red than the pic appears) :

Now this is probably going to sound like BS. But the paint is a soft feel suede finish. It does feel like suede. Apparently done with microscopic bits of neoprene in the paint mix. It was developed and used for the interior surfaces of the of the Space Shuttle and the requirements were :
1. Have excellent Anti-static properties.
2. Be chemically inert.
3. Absorb scattered light and be totally non-reflective.
4. Be very hard wearing and scratch resistant.
5. Be resistant to stains and easy to clean.
6. Be warm to the touch.
7. Non fading.
It is the genuine paint, not a knock off. So it is a fairly safe bet that is will not provide me with stylish peeling

It sticks to anything. And the panel I painted above have been dried hard for 3 weeks now sat on a radiator in my house and you can screw it up in a ball and flatten it again and it doesn't crack or peel.
So.......
Should I do it......
