Always fancied doing this with my old Opel Manta. I'd have cheated though, as a German company called Mattig used to make a wide body kit for them

Dobbs It took me about 2 days per arch just to do the fabrication and prep it for the bodywork, then another 2 days to do the bodywork, final glaze and primer. The metal prep I use is made by a company named MARHYDE and the product is called "ONE STEP", this product is applied by hand or brush and once it's on and has dried there is no need to remove it, it also attacks rust and keeps it from spreading. Very good product i've used it for years, now DuPont makes a similar product and it's called "METAL PREP" but cost about 3 times as much but works well none the less.Dobbs wrote:Awesome!![]()
How long did each rear arch take to do?
I'm curious about the metal prep conditioner you mentioned - how do you apply and later remove it and what brand do you use?
Dobbs.
