Supercharging the Type-S

Post by nitin_s1 » Wed Feb 20, 2013 2:22 pm

What's the maximum bhp that the ATTS can handle? I've seen some yanks go over 300bhp on their Type-SH.. :o

I'm bored at home and thinking if I Supercharged my Prelude how much it would cost and with what amount of reliable bhp/torque.. I could just read Rob's thread but I'm lazy.

So I'm thinking JRSC complete kit, Solid-fab's full exhaust from manifold to 3" straight through and Greddy ultimate E-manage plus some tuning..? Defo be around or more then £4000.. :x

atts can only handle 220bhp. thats why a type s is only 217bhp standard and no upgrade chips available. sell it buy a 4th with a lsd and tune your heart out ;)

Dont trust a welshman, they have sheep germs all over their peenusses.

ATTS clutch will start to slip on high torque. That figure isnt exactly know but id guesstimate at around 250lbft which you will only see on high boost turbos.
6psi on a JRSC with zorst mods on a type S engine id expect to net 230-250whp no problem, and around 220 torques.

Iv been weighing it up also and it will be around £3k for the charger, fitting and tunning alone inc part costs.
There you loose the front strut brace unless one welder can fab one up.

:P

If there is one up for sale, just PM the guy to see if he'll ship first. They don't come up too often, believe me, I know.

Unless you want to buy mine? :?
