cheers everyone :) the rims are the best cash crippling decision ive ever made on the lude! :lol:

managed to get 2/4 pistons in last night...thought it would be a quick simple process but its not :?
Image

you have to get the compressor just right in squeezing the rings tight enough, lined up spot on without moving anything its squeezing and then instead of tapping it gently down (I previously was tapping gently and getting to where the first ring leaves the compressor and goes to go into the bore and it would then just pop out again between the two :troll: ) a bit at a time, two quick hard whacks with the wood end of a hammer and she's in!

Good work. They're supposed to be fiddly, not had the pleasure of using one yet but have one of these for my 88mm Wiseco's on my next engine:

Supposed to be good.

correction, im using a 50mm main journal on the f22 crank, but its a 95mm stroke, sorry!

as spec'd here;
Stroke
H22A4 = 90.7mm/3.570
H22A = 90.7mm/3.570
H23A = 95mm/3.740
H23A1 = 95mm/3.740
F22 = 95mm/3.740
F23 = 97mm/3.818
F20B = 88mm/3.464

Main Journal Diameter
H22A4 = 55mm
H22A4 = 50mm (1997 Only)
H22A = 50mm
H23A = 55mm
H23A1 = 50mm
F22 = 50mm
F23 = 55mm
F20B = 55mm

Fair enough, I got mine with the pistons. Didn't realise they were expensive compared to the standard ones.
