Some interesting reading here, thanks guys!
I didnt realise that the timing doesnt start until you clear the sensors, just knowing that should be an improvement! as the signals at the place i go are awful, and often they barely give you time to line yourself up right. Hopefully with taking my time next time round i will be able to improve things with my launches.

I think my suspension needs some work when i have the money, as it doesnt feel tight at all even with general road driving.

Im guessing you are referring to coilovers here? or is there a way to adjust the stiffness of the stock shocks?

ET dont matter brother, did you cross the line first or not?

I would be shy of flat shifting in a car with a normal/mildly uprated clutch and no time cut or peak retardation system or dogbox in place :? thats a good way to spill fluids all over the track and walk home imho.
Im the same, when i first went i was just there to have a bit of fun and see what i could beat. I managed to take a few cars this time.

And i dont like the idea of "power shifting" either, it just feels nasty and wrong to me!

I have a fully loaded UKDM BB1. (185bhp) (aircon, sunroof, 4ws, etc. etc.)
basic breathing mods (aem shortram, greddy manifold, decat, catback) making 200bhp
Best time I got down pod was a 15.0 thats was running Toyo R888's
0-60ft times are where its at. check those on your sheets to see what they are. to make sure your getting off the line quickly
