I used to have an m2v5, it lasted 10,000 miles before going pop with the extra power my lude is putting down. It has the same gears as the M2P4 & U2Q7 but has a longer final drive. If you're changing the final drive it's definately cheaper than the other two boxes tho

No it doesn't. M2V5 has longer 2 and 3 gears. And I think these two are the shortest in all Prelude/Accord boxes. Available only in 3 of them - U2Q7, T2W4 and M2P4. Actually T2W4 has longer 5th gear, a little bit. But you better check everything I said here. Here are the ratios:
U2Q7 - 3.285 - 2.090 - 1.481 - 1.071 - 0.870 - 4.266 LSD
M2V5 - 3.285 - 1.950 - 1.344 - 1.071 - 0.870 - 4.062

duckface, you are very welcome ;) My main purpose was LSD too. At first I was thinking about M2B4. Later started to think about ratios, calculate, compare... Then I thought of making a box from 2-3 different boxes. But later decided different.
