Hi buddy, I really appreciate the offer but I think it would be better for me to find a car locally to pull everything out by myself so I have a heads up on where it all goes and I can see first hand how it operates. If i break anything I shall give you a shout! It might be best for me to buy an MOT failure or a scrapper and go from there..
I have heard the 4WS unit only has two wires going to the ABS unit so I am under the impression its not connected to the ATTS ECU.

You won't find a prelude with 4ws and atts because they can't shame the same sensors. They don't exist. its either one or the other.
You might gave issues with the active abs though since 4ws uses the normal abs.

Imo its easier to transfer the k20 and the jizzcharger into a 4ws vehicle.

Ahh, I forgot mine has active ABS.... if it can't be done i'll just live with the 2WS.

Well I don't know atts so it's only what I think about this swap. But in my opinion it is possible to fit 4WS and atts will be working as well.

Both ATTS and 4WS are comunicating with ABS unit. And this unit will be pain in ass. But I think ATTS needs info about front wheels (are both spinnin with the same speed) and thats why it's reading front ABS sensors. 4WS need info from rear wheels (i'm sure as even if You don't have abs there are rear abs sensors) Another prof for it when You block rear wheels with handbrake then You get orange 4WS light on dash and fault 70 (if I remember code - I have to reset it always after snowy streets   ).

So basicaly both ATTS and 4WS needs different signals from ABS unit (in my opinion).

Question is are all four sensor signals available from ABS unit?
If yes then I can't see any problem why it shouldn't work.

At the end of the day You can try to instal extra rear ABS sensors only for 4WS system and it will work as well

The last question is can You set 4WS sensors properly later on. There is a chance You will have to reposition them.

From me I can only wish good luck. I tried to do something similar in IVgen but project never was ended. There is a lot of bits and pieces You will have to swap and even more work to do it. I have install all parts except rear actuator in mine and as far it was working.

on a car with abs the 4ws ecu takes the signal from the abs ecu not direct from the sensors that's why I posted earlier about getting the correct signal from the ecu!!

Atts and 4ws needs signals from all wheels. Both needs signals from the same wheel sensor. Both use the Vss on each wheel so its impossible for both atts and 4ws to work. Plus atts uses extra yaw sensors and all goes through the atts ecu.

Ur wrong ratty 4WS don't need any information from front wheels.

On the other side signal from VSS ( gearbox) is going to speedo cluster, ecu, 4ws, atts, abs, cruise control and probably somewhere else and all of them working well. Ewerytime it is the same signal.

Like i wrote I'm more guesing about atts as I'm IV gen guy ( better gen :-P ) and again if all this ideas fails you can install second pair of rear abs sensors and job done. 4WS doesn't need anything more from ABS than this. I will also risk saing that this signals are just passed thru abs unit and fowarded to 4WS

it doesn't need anything from front sensors except speed signal the steering wheel is where the info comes from and a sensor on the rack if I am correct

Yer front sensors ie steering wheel angle and the Vss sensors on the front since abs and 4ws are connected.

one angle sensor in front steering rack, one angle sensor under steering wheel, vss from gearbox, two rear abs sensors, and we have another two angle sensors in rear actuator if I remember it well and didn't miss any ;-)
