Re: Full colour change or swap engine and gear box
That's really nice cheers pal, my knowledge is very limited and I do want to learn so I can help others.Confused wrote:It's simply a case of unplugging/unbolting stuff, and plugging it back in the same place on the new engine!
Spend the money you'd have otherwise spent on books on buying tea, coffee, beer and snacks for those of us who will help you!
Although my brews are good lol

Re: Full colour change or swap engine and gear box
Ok cool good tp know I suppose I should compile a list of all the things I needMerlin wrote:Just to muddy the water a little, if this is a car that you intend to keep I would look at doing some things to the engine and gearbox that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to do while in place.
Timing belt
New clutch perhaps?
For the cost of these parts it seems almost silly not to do them while you have the opportunity IMO.
You will need a few replacement parts and fluids to complete the swap as well. PAS fluid, gearbox fluid, new drive shaft set rings are recommended etc.........
