If the car's been good so far, I wouldn't worry about it. The driver's the weak point now.
Are you going to do this trip in one day? It is a long way on UK roads, so stay cool.
- Be fresh when you set off (not tired; not hung-over ...)
- Don't be tempted to drive when tired or even the smallest bit drowsy. 350 miles in one direction means that you'll have to stop for fuel anyway. Take the opportunity to stretch your legs. Or even have a nap, if that's what your body tells you.
- I tend not to take any drinks except water. In that way, I'm less likely to keep pushing on when I shouldn't. A bit of food and/or sweets/mints etc is handy, though.
- Don't let the antics of other road users get to you. Laughing at muppets is better than getting angry with them.
The miles only matter if you can complete them safely.
Enjoy the trip.

These are things you should be doing on a regular basis, anyway - so - as above, no special requirements needed, other than just getting in and driving the darn thing!bb1boy wrote:My 2 pence worth -
Check tyres, pressure and tread depth;
Check oil level, top up if necessary;
Check coolant level in expansion tank, top up if necessary;
Check windscreen washer fluid level, top up if necessary;
Fill up with fuel;
GO GO GO!

True, but I for one don't do all those checks every time I drive my car! I bet you don't eitherConfused wrote:These are things you should be doing on a regular basis, anyway - so - as above, no special requirements needed, other than just getting in and driving the darn thing!bb1boy wrote:My 2 pence worth -

Nope... to be fair, my car is lucky if I check them every 4500 miles (ie when I do an oil/filter service) - but even so, I'd still feel completely comfortable in getting in my car and driving thousands of miles without thinking about it.bb1boy wrote:True, but I for one don't do all those checks every time I drive my car!
