All I have done with the oil is fit a baffled sump. Rich reckoned that this would be a good idea. It's also had frequent changes (every couple of outings). I think it's just had hard life.

That sucks really. I had the same joke back in 2012 with a stock B20A7. I ran it hard for many months with no problem and ten minutes of track were enough to threw a rod through the block.

I always wondered if a baffled sump would have prevented this but considering your experience I think that's just bad karma sometimes.
