Do little blue lights above my projector headlights on my Soarer make me a ricer*?

* and be bloody careful how you answer it!(posts have a funny way of being deleted or altered!)
I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

This is an inconsistent comparison fallacy

For fun, let's compare the TypeS Prelude to the 330d M Sport I've borrowed this week. The TypeS is rarer, top of the line and costs less. So you have the allure of status through rarity, the 'best' version, and value for money. However, you could choose to ignore that the 330 is newer, more economical yet quicker, has more toys, and is also safer (all consistent comparisons - age, efficiency, performance, user interaction, safety). By that measure the 330 is the better car.

Ah but the Type S version is top of the line and I'm not driving an M3.

If your car is rice (huge bodykits, neon lights, massive sound system, stupidly loud exhaust...etc) then he told you the truth. If your car does not fit this description then the guy probably just has a sore a*se from where a Prelude spanked him the day before
