Nice going Andy - you'd be an ideal candidate to offer your skills to fit the sockets for people on here. 8)

I did think about it when you first offered them on the forums, but I didn't want 30 ECU's landing on my doorstep. I'm sure most on here are daily drivers and I didn't want to be the reason for not being able to use anyones car, if you know what I mean?

Now that things have died down a bit I would be happy to fit anyones socket, which would include testing of each related track after fitting!!!

Fitted my old ecu which Andy has kindly repaired for me and it now has one of Robs spoon v2 chip in it.
Its all good :D No warning lights and rock solid idle at 750rpm.
The lude feels a bit more nimble and responsive at low rpm. Looking forward to testing it out in vtec this evening. :P

I do also however have to put my hands up and admit a few errors on my part in that the idle issue may have been caused by a trapped cable from the spoon vtec control box that sits next to the ecu - i had managed to trap the cable in two places under the cage that fits over the ecu in the passenger footwell. It was lucky that i spotted this when i refitted my own ecu today. I had also overtightened the accelerator cable to try and compensate for the low rev issue and my guess this had made matters worse so i reset it back to where it had been and the idle issue was resolved. I guess the preludes need a fair bit of slack on the cable. Oh well I feel a bit stupid - I need to take a bit more care in future.
