Accord and torneo are the same car. Just slightly different outside. Lights etc. Mechanical and chassis there's no difference.

that sounds about right as long as mines is working with the dodgy knock at the correct intervals.

Clutch/oil change

Post by newkid » Wed Oct 11, 2017 12:46 pm

That’s car in for a clutch change. Used the one that was fitted to saffy since it only did about 1000 miles, genuine Honda atr.

Also getting the thermal inlet and throttle body gaskets fitted which hopefully sorts the bouncing idle.

Oil and filter change to.

8-)

Cars got to go back. When they fitted that daft isolator thing they used extended bolts. Need standard ones. Clutch has made a huge difference tho. Pedal is soft compared to how it was and goes in and out off gear much better.

ffs thats a pain :x
but it does show that someone went to quite a bit of trouble to fit it all

good news on the clutch tho - bet the thrust bearing on the old clutch was knackered
i dont know if you had the gearbox fluid changed - if not then get it over the pit at my folks place - its a 10 minute job ;)

Fluids all changed. Gerry informed me it wasn’t good. Upside is no more thrust bearing noise ;)

Gerry also let me know the car is extremely clean underneath and ALL the bushes are in excellent condition.

Tbh the car pulls like a train in all gears even from lower down the rev range. Extremely happy with it.
