So It was your lude parked up when I was at PAW last week? twas nice 8-)
I would imagine so Mart. Ta 8-)

I was just looking at your torque curve and comparing it to mine from PAW

You've got an awesome high end torque setup there, I wish I had 11:1 pistons in mine :(

You taking her to LLL's next month?
I did discuss working on my old H22A2 (10:1) Alex, but over the course of discussions with Rich, he said the only trouble is I would always being fighting that lower compression, that's actually what pushed me in this direction really. That said, your figures are none too shabby mate!
LLL's?

Nice little write up – impressed with the word count obviously.

Interesting to have to see another subframe having to be notched, I need to go in a little more than that pressed edge, should be interesting!

Good little write up of the new power under the bonnet mate, I won’t deny that I’m a little jealous that you’re that much further down the road and have picked the car up from Rich – I can’t wait for that day. He really is quality at what he does. The power he’s extracted out of yours is suberb.

I bet you’re glad that caravan regained control too! I would have bricked it having just spent all that money on my lude!

Have to check it out in the flesh some time. No doubt I’ll be in the queue of others who want a quick spin in it. 8)

Cheers,

Rob
Thanks Rob.
I know it seems like this has all happened quickly, but the idea has been brewed/discussed for probably at least a couple of years, it was really a case of deciding WHEN to do it, and obviously costs and priorities etc.
Most welcome to a p-ride mate, must put some more faces to names at some point.

No. And you might....

Yeah, of course you can Nits, screamage allowed as long as I don't have to say 'Bitch, Please!' and poopage most certainly NOT allowed.

Cheers Dino. Yes, I imagine you know that feeling pretty well!
I can only imagine what yours must be like, lets just say a weapon yes? Good, a weapon.

Good old Rich!

I was trying to get some high comp pistons for mine, got hold of a set but the faces were scorn so no good. Fair play to PAW, most places would have just stuck them in and left me with a ticking time bomb :?

Rich did talk about the torque spread which is perfectly shown with your graph against mine with essentialy the key difference being the CR. With the skim I think I would out the CR to be at about 10.2:1

Anyway, were talking about your car not mine here ;) I bet it weighs a dam sight less than mine too, you stripped it out much?

LLL's -> national meet at Lewd Lude Lovers place next month? about half hour away from PAW HQ.

Yeah, at the risking of sticking tongue in hole again, they are just legends .
No worries man, I like all ludes! (even 5th gens :o )
Havent stripped a thing. It is a full fat UK lude with all the toys and if I'm honest, thats what I love about it.
In fact, I've added stuff like the moonroof and folding mirrors.
The nice thing is it doesnt 'feel' heavy, it's pretty damn chuckable, well composed and really does go like stink. Yeah, sure, it would be even more so if I stripped it, but at the expense of what makes it such a practical everyday GT/sportscar, and I really do see it like that now. It's a poor mans porker! minus the automatic nobber status obviously...
Only trouble with LLL's do is I'm about 2 hours from PAW lol. Will have a look at his thread and see if it's doable. :)

I'm 2 hours from PAW if the lude is being towed there

LLL is just off the M5 so access is pretty good, until your about to pull into his house then it's not so goos

I did a 1000 mile round trip on the jublie weekend, apart from doing the mountain pass to scarfell pike with about 50mm clearance to the bottom of the zorst on some F roads with 3 porkers in the car I enjoyed every minute of the drvie :)

Even took the chance to show a brand new leon cupra R where to go on the motorway :D

If your anything like me you'll be in vtec about 80% of the time for the first couple months. How are you ifnding the s300? Is your idle a bit strange? Not wrong just different  I find it sits at about 1500 for the first few minutes of getting in if the motor is hot or cold.

Not that I have noticed, all seems very good actually, even things like when I turn the air-con on, very little dip. I think thats down to a completely clean setup too though.
Will have a look tomorrow for your though 8-)
