I have to say I've always bought decent oil. My Dad always told me never to buy Halfords own! I've been putting Mobil 10 40 semi synth in but have been reading on here that lots of people put other types in, ie, fully synth etc?

good luck lucy,
i got mine a few weeks ago and am slowly working my way through similar things
just takes patience and ask this horrible lot for advice, they know a few things between them, if they can not bicker for too long ;)

Ah an oil change is a good skill to be able to do.
Doesn't take much time unless the old filter is on tight, heck the missus helped me with my last one to try and learn. I'm sure you could do it, just takes a bit of time.
If you've not had one done in a while though I'd expect the sump bolt will give you a challenge and you may need an oil filter remover. If you were closer I'd offer a lend of the tools/assistance.

Oil changes and plug changes are the only thing I'm not s**t scared of doing to my car  BUUUUUT with the help from here I managed to fix my brakes so it's all do-able.

Have a go really, and so long as you have someone available incase you totally manage to botch it, you'll be fine.

Well I think you've gotta be able to take the body lemonade out of yourself, I know I can!

With a 1 year old spare time is non existent so I'll have to do bits here and there but I'll feel so chuffed to do these jobs myself.

(More questions will no doubt follow..... :Hello: )
