No mate, a mk5 Edition 30 GTI, 2.0 k04 turbo, much like the 250bhp engine found in the S3, rather than the k03 engine in the regular GTI

Like this but in grey

andypont wrote:Each to their own. I'm sure the Golf is a fine car to drive, though I like most people on here am incredibly biased towards 'ludes. Whilst I was late to driving, after having been a biker for 12-13 years without even considering a car, I have since driven quite a few between my own, those of friends and family and numerous company cars (including the likes of BMWs and Mercs). That said. I am yet to drive anything else that matches the fun and feel of a Prelude. Certainly not the fastest in performance alone but quick enough, especially when vtec kicks in. The handling and general feel certainly makes up for any shortcomings in power, at least in my mind.
I totally agree mate, the Prelude is like no other car. Just given the choice, the Golf wins purely on it's long distance comforts and phenomonal grunt. Ideal world i'd keep both

bang for bucks theres not a lot to touch the h22, its the cheapest 200bhp you can get and im sure its new owner is going to be very satisfied. as for the golf its probably quicker than the prelude power to weight and all that but anything that has a golf ball for a gearnob just doesnt do it for me. the original golf gti was the hot hatch of all time in my opinion followed closely by the 205 gti 1.9.but the prelude is a far superior car and i know i would keep that and sell the golfcart any day of the week if i had to choose. having said that i cut mine up to bits and therefore must be off my trolley (but not a golfing trolley) so just ignore everything and carry on thinking you are making the right decision. GLWTWSBTW

Think its like 1370kg, it's quite a big car

Which is why there's so much room inside, and it's built like a tank, loads of airbags and crumple zones etc
Looking for a BB1, know of one for sale?

That'll be quicker than mine then. Similar stats except for the extra 50lb/ft of torque!
