10Nm they should be torqued to, so not much at all

You only use dabs of sealant on the 4 corners where the gasket is shaped to loop over the cam holders. This is to help seal the corners and prevent leak. Its a tiny dab needed. Not enough to squeeze outside the gasket ideally.

depends on the condition they are cheap enough though so better to replace
