And many of us here want the parts you all get but cannot get here :lol: If there's ever anything specific, I'm sure we could help each other out ;)
newkid wrote:Might be able to help me here, with your new system, did you do away with the flexi part of the downpipe?
I have a rounded doughnut gasket from the downpipe to the catalytic converter

if you look at the flange above here ^^^^ you can see a bevel, that takes one of those compressed and shaped mesh gaskets with bolts that compress springs to keep it tight but allow it to flex, trouble with a fwd is your always going to need either a flexi or 1 of these type gaskets or the exhaust will snap when you accelarate or decelarate due to the nature of how it is. peugeot/citreon use these as standard but don't let that alarm you they work fine :lol:
This is correct. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about the exhaust flexing at all. I'm running 75a mounts, so the motor does not move under acceleration. The exhaust is actually held up with metal straps, and not the typical rubber grommets. The muffler is the only item that has the grommets on, since it's just the Evo2 welded onto the new pipe.

Ah, I see what you did there ;)

newkid wrote: yea its a doughnut gasket, reason i asked is the tri-y i have on the way should take one of these but on the american prelude site they all still seem to get a flexi welded in as well which i cant get my head around, the civics just use the doughnut type as well btw and not the flexi, your answer has confirmed for me tho when it finally arrives to just have the b-pipe extended with an end to mate to the doughnut

cheers
Most people don't use aftermarket motor mounts. The doughnut works well if you have filled mounts or aftermarket, but I would personally choose a flexpipe over a doughnut if using stock motor mounts. All aftermarket headers sit lower than the factory, and even aftermarket exhaust systems. So a flex makes it easier to connect the two vs having to weld a pipe at an awkward angle and reducing the amount of mobility the doughnut gasket allows due to that angle.

If I were using a flexpipe, my catalytic converter would be mounted much higher than it currently is. I'll have to take a photo to further explain. But right now my lowest point of ground clearance is the catalytic converter due to me using the doughnut gasket straight to the cat.

Guess these aren't as rare as I was told. Ordered it, brand new;

Think I might use my Spoon bar as a pull up bar from now on :D

Have a bunch of maintenance stuff piling up as well;

kazinspeed manual tensioner
gates timing belt
walbro 255 fuel pump
oem fuel pump
tons of oem oil seals
still need to order a new water pump and fuel filter
ready to do a compression test and full maintenance job in the upcoming month or two - REALLY trying to find a Euro-R Accord single row crank pulley for a decent price but can't find any that are not damaged :(

Anyone know where I can find one? I'm looking to spend $100 shipped if possible. Don't care if it's used, just need one that is not damaged. Also, does anyone know if they are 6 row or not? If not, how many rows are they?

Should have kept your Spoon. The front 5G ones are rare over here, to the point here it was debated whether they actually existed. Poor timing, I snap that off you if I could!

I'm still keeping it, just can't use it due to future plans :twisted:

"getting" would be the wrong word for it.

oh i've said too much already ;)
Hello...what do we have here? 8-)

Join the club. Well...actually don't join my club, actually fit the damn thing! I'm taking far too long trying to do 'everything' all at once. :lol:

This Accord Euro-R crank pulley you are after, does it have the same diameter as the usual larger Accord pulley everyone uses to net the additional 3 psi on the JRSC? If so can't you just use one of these and get a decent machine shop to mill the aux belt part off and balance it? Just a thought.

I happen to have one of the said Accord pulleys (not the Euro-R one) for the extra 3psi, brand new from Honda. I already have the motorvation jackshaft pulley which nets me the extra 3psi, but I'm keeping the crank pulley for future work to net 12psi (max for the M62).

You checked out my build - see sig. Just a little bit of info in there on things if you are going JRSC. 8)

I'm actually not sure if it gives me any extra psi or not. As far as I know/have been told, it's the same diameter as a normal H22 pulley with the power steering portion still attached.

I've flipped through your build in the past, tons of great info man - great work! :D

I could have a shop machine the P/S pulley off my current crank pulley. But I would rather just have the single row due to my current job. I'm unable to make it to any shops to have any custom work done, currently I order everything and email companies at night and do what little work I can to the car on weekends (still driving it, so this is a bit difficult)

Also DEPOG (Delaware prelude owners group) now has a 5th gen project that's sitting on the side of the house. Needs a ton of parts but big plans are in the makings for it. I'm sure some things that have never been done in the past :twisted:

Everyone on this site is actually getting a sneak peak of what i'm planning before any of the forums in the states ;) I'll be adding some photos of my recent purchases soon.

Gates timing belt
neuspeed strut bar
all OEM oil seals
water pump
walbro fuel pump
oil pump
kazinspeed manual tensioner
Finished one of my tucked a/c lines
made a new cooling plate for a hood latch delete
picked up some misc tools; tq wrenches, breaker bars, extensions, crank pulley tool, comp tester

Before the year is up;

mizu radiator
euro r single row crank pulley
oil catch can
baseline dyno run

Then the plan is to have the following by March;
Greddy emanage ultimate
boomslang emanage harness
plx m300 wideband

I need a new job to help my addictions :shock: Not making enough money to be doing what i've done thus far :lol:
