Hi,
When you clean out prob best to wear a mask. God knows what it is and some mould's spores produce some nasty toxins. Acute and chronic toxicity.
If you use a small amount of mould/mildew remover this will leave a bit of a residue and kill it off. Will smell a bit bleachy though. Tips above are kry to stopping it coming back - needs to be dry in there.

Coming back to my fungal problem
What household products could I use to clean the seats from my Golf? I've brought them inside and the mould wiped off with a cloth, but I'd like to wash the 20 years of back sweat out whilst I've got a chance
The seats are just plain grey cloth jobbies btw, but with some multi colour streaks

Re: Mould!!!
Is there any decent valeter's local to you (not the cheap foreign car washers a proper valet bay) We charge £5 per seat to wet vac and remove stains. Doesn't take too long either

Yeah, I borrowed a wet/dry vac at Christmas when I filled the Xsara with sick
it did an amazing job, but unfortunately I've not got access to it anymore.
I was considering using a weak mix of clothes detergent and hot water, do you reckon that'd work? Otherwise was thinking of buying some vanish carpet/upholstery cleaner tomorrow maybe.
