has any one had thier non working 4ws turn whilst they have been driving ...?
mine has not worked for nearly 3 yrs without a prob
and i cannot see honda making a car and selling it in the usa if when it failed it would turn on its own ?

The system is built in such a way that when it fails, the rear wheels are no longer 'held' by the motor. Instead the two big return springs pull against each other and make the wheels straight. At this point, your 4WS light comes on, and you are supposed to granny it to the nearest garage for repair.
Having driven my 4th with 4WS broken (was a dodgy ABS sensor) I have to say, I did not enjoy the experience. The back end was pretty damn twitchy above around 50mph - the weight of the car as it shifted overcoming the strength in the springs.
I suppose though, they don't really have corners in America - so would they actually notice?

I noticed, especially on the motorway
get it fixed, you would probably see better lap times also

Blasting the crap out of it is an understatement Dbo ......... Damn thing never works and allways turns on and off. I have a new ecu, have reset it, pritty much done everthing i can do and it still faulty as f*ck and turns on. I just do not know what to do with it. Had problem after problem with this lude, and am really considering letting it go at present.
