Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

A full colour change respray with doing the engine bay will cost thousands. Plus you are going to have to remove the engine anyway, not to mention all the other bits from the engine bay (which will take longer than removing the engine itself). The engine swap is the much cheaper option. A garage will probably do it in a day.

Well I'm not overly experienced reference mechanics as I make kitchens, but I'd like to do it my self if there's a book I could read to help that would be great

I'd be up for helping with an engine swap - I've got a garage we could make use of!

Workshop day, everyone? ;)

Well I have a garage and I could have a crack at one on my own, feels a bit daunting...has anyone actually done an engine swap?

If I'm around, I'm in!

Simply swapping engine/gearbox between the cars will be rather simple, it's all plug and play.

It's not like you're putting a V6 into a Ford Anglia... ;)

Mine may take a bit longer as I'll need to put the other engine back into the other car.

I suppose when I've swapped all the bits I want to make one really nice car I'll get rid of the other but still make it nice, so it lives on
