Yeah, i get it
But.... I don't like the system
So lets get this straight...
We start a thread in March for Lude Of The Month (LOTM) nominations?
Then in 2nd two weeks of March we vote?
Winner of LOTM March gets his/her award in April & gets his/her picture displayed for all of April??
LOTM for April should get his/her award in APRIL & pics displayed in APRIL. See what i am getting at?
My thoughts are that the nomination & voting process is far too long winded.
A week to nominate & a week to vote, how hard can that be?
Also, i feel the winner of the LOTM doesn't really get to enjoy the kudos of the award if the voting/nominations take place straight after their award is given, and all the focus is put straight on to the next round.
Just sayin

The nominations start in the previous month, so come the 1st of the month 4 are picked for voting. The voting goes on for the entire month, so that at the end of that month a winner is declared. The winner is then anounced and reaps the glory for a whole month. Makes sense in my eyes.
The only thing I agree with you on is the fact that once a winner is declared, people are already concentrating on the fresh new vote for the next month's winner. Maybe the voting could start a week in to the month???

At any one time there are the nominations for the next month and the competition for the current month.
This thread is the nominations for the April competition (hence the title), people enter cars in to the competition for for the next month (April).
At the same time the competition for the current month (March) is running where people who were nominated in the previous month (February) are competing against each other.
Simple
So the Februrary winner is on the front page until the next competition (March) is won. We gave it a month each because, let's be honest, a week (even two weeks) isn't enough time to get people going. It's been almost two weeks already and we've only got one nomination!
*edit* Nafe - nominations starting a week in to the month sounds good, I'll start that next month.

IMO it should be like this.
2 week of March we Nominate for Prelude of the Month for April. Leave it open for 2 weeks. Then 1st week of April we vote for 1 week so the winner is announced at the end of the 1st week of April. Winner takes all. SO the process takes 3 weeks.
Its how its done on Prelude power since ever and i always vote on that.
